After 19 months of frequent use my Hot tub has performed continuously without any issues – a testament to the quality of the components used and the build quality of the Gardenvity product. The only maintenance I carried out was to give the thermowood a coat of exterior Sadolin in summer 2021 and it looks absolutely fabulous.

Eco-friendly timber sourced from Nordic forests
Crafted and manufactured using Finnish expertise, the 100% recyclable Thermowood embodies Nordic quality and sustainable values. What practical advantages does Thermowood offer when used to manufacture your private spa?
Thermowood is one of the most dimensionally stable woods for outdoor use, so it’s less likely than the other types of wood to shrink or swell when exposed to moisture. Thermowood endures all climates and weather conditions.
It elevates your sensory experience with the harmonious blend of comfort, sophistication, and authentic allure that captivates your senses through its refined texture, captivating appearance, and subtle natural scent.
Its natural composition ensures a chemical-free and safe environment, free from harmful indoor air emissions and resin leakage, even at high temperatures.
Treat with oils? Go for a naturally weathered colour?
When customising your own Gardenvity wood-fired hot tub features, you get to choose between light or dark oak stain applied to the Thermowood cladding. During regular maintenance, you can decide whether to preserve the original color tone or allow it to age naturally.
To maintain the original surface colour of Thermowood, apply tinted or pigmented wood oil, wax, wood-protecting stain, varnish, or paint that includes a UV filter. Perform this task once or twice a year.
If you prefer the naturally weathered look of Thermowood, here’s the good news: you don’t need to perform any maintenance on it! Over time, it will naturally develop a greyish hue, as is typical of natural wood, while still retaining its inherent durability characteristics.
To revitalize the surface of discolored timber, you can wash it thoroughly, dry it completely, and re-coat. Use wood detergents and avoid high-pressure water so as not to affect the wood’s natural grain.
